so I think I am OK at driving my car. I know I don't get 100% out of it, but I would like to try to compare my times to another more experienced driver.

I usualy don't let anyone I don't know touch anything of mine, but in thise case, it's pretty much the same thing. So to anyone who would like to co-drive the metro at an event I would really appreciate it. In HS I can guess I am right where I need to be on times, because I usualy end up in third 10 secons behind first and clost to 5 seconds behind second. I accept that I am not going to be as fast because of little experience, abut how much do I need to improve? I missed out on the driving schools this year, so next year it will be a priority.

It doesn't really help me gauge where I should be with MY car because it is comparing apples to oranges. the metro doesn't really stand a chance aginst the mini.

SO this is an open invite to solo2.org members. try somthing with alot less HP, FWD, and street tires. I guess it doesn't matter what class, maby even the fun class or whatever it is called nowadays. I just want to see where I am at.

Thanks!

I have a once in a lifetime offer for you. How about a personal autocross coach for this Sunday's event? As most of the other St. Louis Region members will tell you I bet I'm the only person to meet your qualifications of FWD and low HP. I would be happy to assist you and dole out valuable setup and driving information which may (or may not!) be helpful. At any rate do not despair! I and my son, Trey, will be there for early set up. Our plans are to run my Ford POScort in some overdog class (watch out SM!) just for fun. I would be happy to help if you desire.

I would appreciate it.

I have been working the early gate waiver recently, so I will have the day pretty much free, unless  the chic I have invited comes, then I promised her rides and stuff.. so yah know....

thanks again Bud, I think you did help me a bit on the course today. i think though I got second because the silver mazda got new tires and couldn;t get the car to do what he wanted today.

but we all have out good days and bad. for me it was good. I didn't think i would get all the way down to 54. but there wasn't much more time to be gotten off that course with my car.

Thanks!!

I had a great time working with you. For not having done this very long your lines through the course were just about spot on. Now let's get that GTI going!
