Hey Chris, since I wasn't around to help you with this how did yours turn out for the Z?

My Oldsmobile with a Quad 4 motor has a computer that has taken a dump and I am investigating doing one instead of replacing the GM computer. The price is just about going to be a wash except for my labor to install and program the MegaSquirt system. There is an Olds performance place on the east coast that sells a system already done up for the GM system in this car for a total price of around $400. Sure seems the way to go instead of putting in another GM part. The only additional part I need to add to the car will be a wideband O2 sensor. Could be fun the way I see it!

I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Whittle. Though now that it's all together I hope it's easy to swap to the new motor. Shouldn't be too big a deal. It's definitely very cool, and very geeky, though most of it is way over my head.
