maybe they meant that the WRX won't be available as a hatch.

They've had NA EJ20's in Japan and Europe for eons now, but I just don't see that happening here.

So... that will turn into the STi for 2008?  From the photo it looks like the hood is huge. Maybe it is just the angle.  For some reason it reminds me of a leather shoe.

alright, the best explanation for that article (beyond that its absolute rubbish) is that in Europe, Subaru may return to the Impreza GT nomenclature of the GC8 era.

Most seem to believe there will still be a sedan in addition to the hatch, though they may debut at different times.

The STi is slated to make its first appearance in 9/07 and go on sale 1/1/08 as an 08 model.  SWRT also apparently is planning on running the new body style at Monte Carlo in 1/08.

The other rumor of note is a 2.0L turbo diesel in the Legacy [Y]
