so edmunds decided they didn't like being scooped by that one supposed issue of MT out there and lifted their embargo by presenting two 'new' images of the WRX. Too bad all they did was reverse the MT images and change the car color and background. automotive journalism FTL. [*-)] |

Yuck. I'll believe it when I see it, but at this rate I'll be holding onto my '04 for a while.

| Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car, understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car, horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take it with you. |

Well, I like it. Hopefully the STI will come in the hatchback version as the "sneak peek" pictures indicate. Kinda reminds me of that one car that currently dominates the WRC, what was the name of that car.....? I guess Subaru is following a "monkey-see, monkey-do" strategy? [au] |

The STi will only be available as a 5-door hatch. It will debut at the Frankfurt show and will go on sale 1/08. As for the 08 WRC car. I predict it will continue to be utterly destroyed by the *sigh* french. [:'(] |

Just got this email 5 min ago and it does show a 4 door WRX that I really like. Can't wait to see in person. http://www.subaru.com/sub/misc/2008/autoshow/ny0311/wrx/index.html?cid=em_2008_wrx_NYIAS_reveal_pros I can't even imagine how overwhelmed nasioc will be the next few days with comments and speculation. My speculation is that the WRC car will be a 3 door, as was mentioned above, they have to follow the crowd and that is 2 door hatches, not 5 doors. They updated the Tribeca nose too for 08 but it doesn't help too much. 08 Impreza 2.5i kinda looks rather Jetta-ish. Be prepared for this link be kinda slow. |

I guess we could have predicted this when the latest
Forester came out looking like an Explorer. All I have to say is,
the Legacy better not start looking like the Taurus. Oh wait,
it's showing signs already...

Never noticed the Ford resemblance til now, thanks. Blue oval, rect. egg crate grill - hmmm, and I thought Toyota owned Subaru now. |

5 door is kinda' appealing looking in a Saab-ish sort of way. The sedan, however, looks like a Corolla S. That's not a good thing.
