This was totally just a bad choice of words on the anchor's part, to suggest that she be fired, Al is just looking for his time in the spotlight yet again....

Pretty much agree. I think he'd get a lot more traction and be a lot more effective as a leader if he didn't respond to a situation by throwing gasoline on the fire. I recall a few years ago there was controversy about monority participation on a highway project. Valid point, we need more qualified trades on jobs and as part of that we need qualified monorities. Al came into town, they shut the highway down, had the news cameras show up and then he left. Now I can't say if he was involved after the fact, but I doubt it. All he does is raise the anger level. What gets results is for two sides to get together with a willingness to fix it.

 Agreed he comes in makes his show and leaves with what to show for it but another news clip and a bunch of angry people.

 I just have this to say to the great Reverend Al Sharpton. Just because you have the right to free speech doesn't mean you have to use it.

I think all he does is shakedown companies anyway.

I have been sending his campaign $7 a year for the last 8 years and now I can go ahead and not deal with minorities without him coming and forcing me to work with brown people.  They don't speak English anyway and they all use a splash of Brut after-shave under the arm-pits for deodorant.   Aside from the joy of not dealing with minorities and being able to attend the local Aryan Power meetings without repercussions from Al Sharpton, he also sends me an annual brochure that details how I can style my hair the Al Sharpton way. Thank you for letting me waste about 25 seconds of your life.

Well if he's not going to get on you now, I guess I'll have to step up.  You better have plenty of white people working for you or I'm gonna show up with my posse and shut you down.
