Hello.

I have two Audi Coupe GT's that I bought from Chris Albin a few years ago.

The white one is an '85 and has had the diff welded in preparation for road racing. I added a 2" exhaust with hi-flow cat and dynomax muffler, and Chris had already installed the quattro exhaust manifold. I took this car out to Gateway for the first ever club trials event and had an absolute blast. The times I posted weren't stellar, but I had done nothing to the suspension and later found out I had leaky injector o-rings. Nice power once the o-rings were replaced :) Unfortunately, this developed an overheat condition (perhaps the water pump impeller shaft?) that I never got fixed and I ended up blowing the head gasket. As I understand hings, Chris had thought seriously about changing to the Coupe GT as it seemed it could be a strong contender in IT. This car is a great candidate due to having no sunroof, apparently a rare thing.

The red one is an '84 and mostly stock. I scavenged the seats from it to put in the white car. There is a problem with the clutch fork pivot that will require pulling the tranny to fix. (To drive it now you must start in first and shift without the clutch.) There is a bit of rust coming through the rear wheel wells, the windshield is cracked, and it will need the exhaust worked on.

I also have about a dozen spare wheels, many with used road race tires mounted, two spare doors, a bumper cap, spare struts and control arms, plus various other parts.

I really hate to get rid of these cars, but I have to move them or pay large fines to the city. I do NOT want to see them go to the crusher, as there just weren't many of these made to begin with.

I am pretty open on price. I'll be completely up front here, I paid $800 for the pair and then put almost $500 into the exhaust work, plus buying the suspension spares and at least one set of wheels. These cars are rare and you definitely can make one good runner out of the two, or a really fun rally-cross or auto-cross car. Or what have you. Save them from the crusher :)
