god i cant stand this commentary i should have just waited for it on speed
the annoucers are to eager to use the tv pen look the car is on a jack (circle jack) look at the driver adjust things on the steering wheel (circle steering wheel) look the logo on the steering wheel is made out of diamonds (circle logo)
When alonso passed (i think button) at the chicane he said oh he just flipped his wing out of the way. you cannot just flip a wing out of the way. He broke it and that wing probably costs more than your car so he didnt just do anything
Also you dont need to tell me the driver cant go over the pit exit line every time a driver exits the pit. I got it the first time.
When a pit stop takes over 10secs it doesnt mean its a slow stop it means he has more fuel then somone that does a 7sec stop.

well, here are my 0.02 Euro on the race. I do like it when its on CBS so I can see it, but the commentators are being stupid. "See how he catches up under braking, then gets left behind under acceleration" [8-)]
Anyway, I don't know whether MS did that intentionally or not. Regardless, being penalized from 1st to last was extreme, especially when Fisci was only docked his best 3 times for blocking. Maybe people can start complaining that the FIA is Renault's little pet now, especially after Fisci's unpenalized, bonehead move on DC.
Seeing Schumi working the pack was fun though. Poor Button, he always gets pwn3d by him in the chicanes, lol. I was hoping he'd get around Rubino too, but alas.
The more I see of Alonso, the less well I think of him. When Schumi was in the dominant car, he pulled away at an amazing rate. Alonso hardly ever pulls away. He just knows its near impossible for him to get passed, so he just regulates the pace. Maybe that's the strategy and I'm selling it short, but I'd like to see what he could do from the back of the pack, like what we've seen this year from MS and Kimi.
Speaking of Kimi, eff mclaren. I don't care for the team, but this is getting stupid. Poor Webber too. Nice to see DC have a good run for a change though! |

Unsportsmanlike is what I call it. Even if it was a mistake (1 in a million) what kind of punishment would you give to him? If anything, complain about the soft penalties given to other teams, not the right penalty given to MS.
The race was just ho-hum for me. It was nice to watch MS fight traffic, but there wasn't much "racing" going on for position. Maybe F1 should have push-to-pass for Monaco? :) |

well, ultimately, its a judgement call and you can never know for sure, same with all the alleged blocking going on. Just seems to be an extreme penalty. Yeah, he's good, but everyone makes mistakes, and if it was a mistake, I wouldn't penalize him at all. If it was on purpose, why not do something in line with what they did to Fisi? |

Well... Fisi blocked one person, MS blocked a bunch on their last flying lap. If it was my decision I would have taken away all of his times from the 3rd session. |

well BGP was really good for the first few laps when top 3-4 were nose to tail, but then Alonso took off and that was that. One pass in the pits for Schumi was uneventful. looked like there were some pretty good battles in the back but they didn't show much of it. Poor Button got out qual. by both Midlands and then blew the engine. The announcers suggested that rumours in the paddock were that the other drivers think JB should go to another team for a fresh start but Honda still won't let him.
I think we're done with CBS for this year. Those guys weren't too bad, but Daly gets a little too excited over little things (but then so does Hobbs and Matchett). I do like the driver interviews during the race that Speed doesn't get. |

Nobody is as upset as I am!!!! Pissed is an understatement. Maybe Alonso will crash out in Brazil and Schumacher wins. I would walk around with a smile for years should this occur.

I was so ticked when Schumacher blew up that I just fast forwarded to the end of the race. What really blows is that Michael threw out a really good chance to score points when Alonso didn't earlier this year when Alonso's favorite mechanic forgot to put the safety pin back on the wheel nut. Alonso was out of the race and Michael got a little greedy, made contact with another car and broke suspension pieces that knocked him out. [:@] Otherwise, you couldn't ask for a more exciting end to the year...championship battles are fun to watch for all. Let's all pray for Alonso to go "kablamo" in the final race. Having Schumy back next year would be exciting...in a Subaru...in F1...hmmmmm [:P] |
Having Schumy back next year would be exciting...in a Subaru...in F1...hmmmmm
At least their engines don't usually blow up. Now transimissions, wheels, tires, brakes, shifters, more transmissions, diffs, clutches, electronics, etc, might be another story. They are switching to bridgestones next season though.... |

Can we revive this thread or start a new one? Anybody seen the new Renault's and their hideous paint schemes? Sure are creative with the winglets.

I must be the only one alive that actually likes the new Renault livery. I like how the mirrors are integrated into the winglets, too. w00t for Massa & Ferrari, 2007 World Champions [:D] |
I sure like the new Spyker look though--very orange
Exactly why I don't like it. I didn't know it was possible to take a neat, exciting color like blind-me orange and make a boring car. I would say monochrome FTL but I do secretly hope Honda stays all black [:D] |

WOW!!!!!!! This must be the longest running thread of all time anywhere! Good to see this F1 support. Haven't been here for a long time! Will be an interesting year for F1 fans. We have lost the F1 King (retired). I will say only this. There is talk that he MAY be back in 07'. Would be cool. Nice to see you all again![:)] |
